This step will require some additional work. You will want to determine what the make and model of the device is, obtain the IMEI (International Mobile Equipment Identity) and MEID (Mobile Equipment Identifier) and serial number.
What is the IMEI and MEID? The IMEI is used to identify devices on the GSM or UMTS networks. It is a 15-digit number and is used by carriers to provide access to their network. The MEID is used to provide access to CDMA Networks and is a 14-digit hexadecimal number. The use is the same as the IMEI with providing access to the network and tracking the device.
